Going on a foraging frenzie
Living on a small holding in Scotland certainly has its benefits. Especially at this time of year, now that winter has gone to bed, the spring bulbs have been a beautiful welcome sight, daffodils dancing in the wind. As the temperature starts to climb, the leaves are growing on the trees, and blossoms are starting to bud. For some gardeners, weeds can be a nuisance for me they are a blessing and I am so looking forward to going on a foraging frenzie.
Our huge area becomes a mass of weeds, dandelions, nettles, etc. The garden, surrounded by hawthorn hedges, has many useful plants, such as cranesbill geraniums.
While foraging, I have been collecting plants for small animals to eat and nettles to infuse.

I am absolutely enjoying watching Mother Nature do her thing while providing a service and growing some new plants.
This week, I took delivery of a new cover for my pollytunnel and hope to get it fitted very soon. Watch this space!!!!
